The
Middleton Police Department is currently accepting applications for
our 2021 internship program.
The deadline to apply is March 1st,
2021 and applications can be sent to the email at the
bottom of this page and at the top of the application.
Please be aware that the availability of our internship program
will be dependent on the status of the COVID-19 pandemic and we
reserve the right to cancel or discontinue the internship at any time.
We offer a rewarding program that provides work experience that
will complement academic degrees and help provide a foundation of
knowledge as you enter into the law enforcement field.
As an
intern, you will be able to
experience and observe
the day-to-day operations and functions of the Middleton Police
Department. In addition,
you will be able to support the department and its employees in the
performance of authorized functions, as well as learn and observe
general law enforcement methods and assess the police profession
firsthand.
During your internship, you will be assigned to a sworn police officer
and report for duty for their assigned shift.
Our officers work 8-hour shifts on a rotation of six days on,
three days off. You will
be provided uniform attire and equipment, which will remain the
property of the Middleton Police Department following the conclusion
of the program.
Qualifications for our internship program
include being 18 years of age, currently enrolled in an accredited
college or university, sanctioned by your university or college and
meet applicable Law Enforcement Standards Board employment
requirements.
