Active Shooter Presentations

Active shooter/active killer events are occurring at an exponential rate in our society, most recently at a workplace shooting in our city on September 19, 2018, and we can no longer wonder IF it will happen, but WHEN and WHERE.  Our goal is to prepare you so you, your family and your co-workers all have a plan of what to do when it does.  To help us reach that goal, we offer FREE presentations on active shooter preparedness presented by Community Awareness Officer Cesar Salinas, with assistance from presenters from the Dane County Sheriff's Department & Wisconsin Department of Justice when available.  If you would like to find out about scheduling this training at your workplace, scroll down to submit a request.

It can happen here

  • The average Active Shooter event lasts 4 - 8 minutes.
  • Over 70% of Active Shooter incidents are over in 5 minutes or less.
