our society, most recently at a workplace shooting in our city on
September 19, 2018, and we can no longer wonder IF it
will happen, but WHEN and WHERE.
Our goal is to prepare you so you, your family and your co-workers all
have a plan of what to do when it does. To help us reach that
goal, we offer
FREE presentations on active shooter preparedness presented by
Community Awareness Officer Tom Wilson, with assistance from presenters
from the Dane County Sheriff's Department & Wisconsin Department of
Justice when available. If you would like to

- Always be observant
- Be aware of vehicles which are
out of place
- Report someone who may be
testing security or "scoping" a place out
- Take threats seriously
(verbal, written, phoned)
This training is available to any
business, house of worship, school or other venue located within the
City of Middleton. This training is offered as a public service
to our community and, as such, this training is completely free.
